United Way Volunteers build handicap ramps for those in need in Franklin County at no cost.
Over the last ten years, the group has built around 250 ramps.
The group, led by UW Board Member Wayne Stallings, is fondly known as the Four Amigos. The Amigos started a few years ago when a group on military veterans from Franklin County got together to start the program, which originated as a Day of Caring project. The original members are Wayne Stallings, Gus Axelrod, Ed Wilson and Jerry Rich. UW Board Member Monty Riggs has recently joined the group.
The included photos shows from beginning to end, the construction of a recent ramp.
